I met Jeff and Margot back in 2010, when we all worked together in San Francisco, CA. After I took the leap, and left my day job to pursue Steele My Heart full time, they were the first clients to book their wedding with me! When they told me all about their wedding vision, set amongst the picturesque vineyards of B.R. Cohn winery in Glen Ellen, California, I was smitten!
That morning, the sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky...a PERFECT day for a Napa Valley wedding!
Jeff and Margot's wedding style was classic, romantic, and inspired by the lovely venue and surrounding vineyards. They also went with a color pallet of navy, blush, and gold.....My favorite!!!
The Bride and Groom had a traditional wedding party. Jeff's brother and Margot's sister were their Best Man and Maid of Honor. I love it when family is such a huge part of the wedding day, and these siblings shared so much love that day!
The ceremony was held underneath a giant Oak Tree in the middle of the vineyards. When guests stepped off the shuttles, they were invited to "Taste the Grapes," as it was just before the Fall Harvest. When they arrived to the ceremony site, a Harpist was playing and beverages were offered to cool off. The alter was adorned with natural linen hanging from the large Oak Tree and two wine barrels with gorgeous arrangements, complimenting the Bride's bouquet.
After the ceremony, guests were shuttled to B.R. Cohn's amphitheater, famously known for their Summer Concert Series. Guests were able to escape the heat under the shade of the enormous trees, overlooking the vineyards and enjoyed lawn games, passed appetizers, good music & various wines, from grapes grown on site!
When it was time to invite their guests to dinner in the Olive Grove, they were greeted by a hand lettered chalkboard dinner menu and a large seating chart, on a vintage gold glass table top. It was displayed against a wine barrel with fresh Dahlia blooms in vintage milk glass vases.
Before starting dinner, Jeff and Margot did their First Dance, and it was such a sweet moment, with all of their bridal party surrounding them, arm in arm, swaying and singing to the music. You could feel the love and joy!!!
Their Wedding Dinner was nothing short of Fabulous! And that grilled peach salad.....I just can't even begin to describe it....Pure Deliciousness!!!
For me, the most memorable moment of the day was just after the Maid of Honor's speech, when she announced a surprise saxophone performance by Margot's cousin. It was such a beautiful surprise for The Newlyweds. As they watched his performance and began to dance, their bridal party, families, and closest friends surrounded them on the dance floor, wrapping them in So. Much. Love! #goosebumps
You guys, even as I sit here writing this post, I am fighting back tears and swallowing that lump in my throat.....it was Magic!!!
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating and dancing the night away! Jeff and Margot wanted their guests to have a really fun time, so they had a photo booth set up near the dance floor with lots of silly props. They also hosted a snack bar, filled with sweet and savory munchies. And instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for a display of various bundt cakes and cupcakes.
.....and the Best Part?!?!??! The Maid of Honor and the guest who caught the garter.....ARE GETTING MARRIED SOON!!! (Congratulations you two!)
Towards the end of the night, the Bride and Groom busted out some fun glow sticks & a laser light show to enhance the dancing experience.....and believe me, it worked!!! That dance floor was packed until the very end of the night! I may or may not have joined in the fun for a few minutes myself.....
Jeff and Margot, you two are simply The Best, and your wedding day was pure Magic!!! I am so honored to have been given the chance to work with you both, to help you create the wedding day you were both dreaming of, and I wish you both many many years of love and happiness! If your journey together is Anything like the first day, you guys are in for one heck of an adventure!!! I love you both!!! ~Ryanne
